A new year has greeted the world and things appear to still be the same. No scare this year, nothing like the Y2K scare of a decade ago.
I am going to the doctor tomorrow to find out what is going on with my sinuses. I'll likely just get an antibiotic to help get rid of whatever it is exactly. Hopefully it's nothing major.
Today my parents and I went to Famous Dave's to have a late lunch with my grandparents. I'm not quite sure why we had dinner with them. Nothing amazing happened. It seems to be a running theme with the parents of my parents to desperately want to have dinner with me before I go back up to school. Why is this?
The waiter brought us fries to the table about 20 minutes after having taken our order. We were then privy to the secret of the sauces. Apparently the hottest sauce points north and the mustard sauce is on the East. It was interesting, but the waiter just wasn't into it.
The food was pretty good, but the salmon didn't melt in my mouth like it claimed it would. The fries were probably the best part of the whole meal with crunchy edges and soft warm insides. The directional sauces went quite well with the fries.
College Football Bowls litter the DiVo recordings' list. Which means more shortened football games than usual. This way of watching football actually tends to keep me more interested, but I sometimes look up the score and then don't care as much for the ending. My parents still get just as involved in the game as ever.
Tonight we'll likely end up watching some of this abbreviated football. I wonder who's actually playing right now.
