But I've got a shiny new bluetooth keyboard that is kinda awesome! I'm hoping that I'll be more into writing at random times. I might go get a touchpad thingy too...then I'll have an itty bitty screen, but a bunch of cool additions. I dunno, we'll see. The apostrophe is in the wrong spot.
My brain is kind of broken right now...I guess I'll just try to come up with something later. I don't want these to be bland and not any fun to read, but I am also trying to stick with my plan for the year.

Tonight was a Good Night
I saw one of my best friends tonight. I didn't really realize how much I missed her until I saw her again.They say that distance or time or something makes the heart grow fonder...the problem with that is that one has to have the time to think about someone in order to miss them. Since she's gone I haven't had a spare second to think about much of anything other than the mundane day to day things. I would say just work, but I'm sure I've been spending time on other things to...my non-existing hobbies, perhaps.
In today's age we fill all our time with false connections, so we believe we are with someone, or near them, or visiting them. We don't allow ourselves to think that we can truly miss someone because how can you miss them when you can "talk" with them immediately. You can really understand what missing someone means when you can't hear from them for an extended period of time. When they aren't on the other end of a text message.
Not really very sure where to go from there...I didn't mean for this to turn into some blathering post about how social media is changing the way the human race interacts. I guess let's just say that I had a good night with some good friends, and I probably need to get out more.

If this dog drips on my keyboard I'm going to be pissed.
I had to watch my baby get towed tonight. It was kind of awful...but hopefully we can figure out what the problem is, and we will be able to get her back into driving order.
My insurance worked out pretty well for the whole ordeal. If I had called them as soon as I pulled off the road things may have moved along a little quicker, but I wasn't even sure if I was covered under the right type of insurance. I have type "H", and that's all I needed! Unfortunately, we had to wait for a tow-truck, which took only about 45 min, but it seemed like forever at 0300.
I cringed as I watched the "service provider" hook her up and sloooooowly drag her onto the truck bed. I was happy that it was one of the full bed trucks and not a half bed. I'm not sure I could stand to watch her towed on one of those.
I need to go to bed now...There was more I was going to say about this, but I just realized how late it is.

These things I would have said if I could have figured out how to say them.
So, I decided that I wanted to try to write blogs again. I know that this may be a feat I'll never be able to accomplish because I haven't ever been able to keep up with it. I am going to try harder this year because I know that people that don't get to see me as often as they would like would like to be able to hear from me in different ways.
My goal is one blog a week or 52 blogs in the year. I have already missed the "first week" of 1-6, so I will need to write two between 7-14...or something like that. I don't want to end up with crappy half-assed blogs just to get the blog count up, so hopefully I can stick with this a little bit.
There are some things I've been trying to figure out how to get onto paper...but I haven't solidified them in my head. I want to finish writing a book this year, but without the time (or energy) this may be an impossible feat. I have about three really solid ideas, one of which was moving along nicely, but then schedules shifted and I'm stuck with lots of sleep and not enough waking hours. (This is why I'm attempting to get out of this job--so I can have a semi-normal life).
Tonight is the BCS bowl...should be pretty huge since Alabama is in, and we have a lot of Bama fans in the area.
I met someone at work last night that can (hopefully) fix my car! They are also buying the broken apart other car that we have, so that we have money to fix things on either car! (If you can't tell this is a really good thing...)
